Getting started

Your first week on Voyara

Written for the person who runs the agency, not their IT person — because there isn't one. If you can use a booking system and a Stripe dashboard, you can do all of this yourself.

Before you start

You'll want two things within reach: a Stripe account (or the willingness to create one — it's free), and your email provider's SMTP details if you want customer emails to come from your own address. Neither is needed to sign up and look around.

Day 1 — Sign up and look around

  1. 1

    Create your account

Fill in the sign-up form — agency name, a contact email, and the subdomain you want. Click the link in the verification email. You’re now in the admin panel and your storefront is already live at that subdomain.
  2. 2

    Get oriented

The sidebar is grouped: Overview (your dashboard and analytics), Catalogue (tours and packages), Reservations (bookings and flights), Website (everything your customers see), Customers (messages, support, AI and WhatsApp), Configuration (the accounts you connect), and Account (plan, team, settings). Spend ten minutes clicking through it.
  3. 3

    Open your storefront

There’s a "Visit website" link in the sidebar. That’s exactly what your customers see. It already works — it just has placeholder branding and an empty catalogue for now.

Day 2 — Make it look like your agency

Go to Website → Branding. Set your logo, your brand colours, and the headline and copy on your homepage. Work down the homepage sections — hero, featured tours and packages, “why choose us”, gallery, footer — picking a layout for each from the live preview. Do the same for your About and Contact pages.

You're choosing from templates, not building from scratch. Pick what looks closest to what you want; you can switch any of them later without losing anything. More on templates →

Day 3 — Add your first tour or package

  1. 1

Go to Catalogue → Tours (or Packages) → add one

Give it a title, a description, photos, and a price. Add the departure dates you actually sell it on, with the number of seats.
  2. 2

Pick its detail-page and booking-page templates

Each tour can use a different detail layout and a different checkout style if you want — or set a default and leave it.
  3. 3

Publish it and view it on your storefront

It now appears in your tours listing and has its own bookable page. Do a test booking end to end to see the whole flow.

Day 4 — Connect payments

Go to Configuration → Payments. Paste your Stripe secret and publishable keys and a webhook signing secret. Start in Test mode. The page tells you the exact webhook URL to add in your Stripe dashboard and which events to subscribe to. Do another test booking — this time you'll be charged a test card and the booking will move to “paid” when Stripe calls back.

When you're happy, switch to Live mode and add your live keys. More on payments →

Day 5 — Email, flights, and your team

  • Email: Configuration → Email Notifications. Add your SMTP details, send a test, then pick a customer-email design under Customer Emails.
  • Flights: if you sell flights, sign up with Duffel now — their onboarding can take a little time. Paste your key under Configuration → Flight Provider when you have it.
  • Team: Account → Team. Invite your staff and tick only the sections each of them needs. More on permissions →

Before you promote it — choose a plan

Don't let the trial lapse

Pick a plan on the Account → Plan page before your 14 days are up. If the trial ends with no plan chosen, the admin panel and new bookings are paused until you choose one. See pricing.
